We're hiring for an Assistant Project Manager - Commercial Construction role in the Marietta, GA market. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented construction professional who is ready to support project coordination, documentation, schedules, subcontractor communication, and overall project execution while growing into a full project management role.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of construction experience, preferably with a commercial general contractor.
- Exposure to RFIs, submittals, change orders, schedules, budgets, and project documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field preferred.
- Strong organization, communication, and follow-through skills.
- Ability to coordinate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and design teams.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced commercial construction environment.
- Experience with commercial, education, healthcare, office, industrial, mixed-use, or similar project types is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support project managers with the daily coordination of commercial construction projects.
- Assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, project documentation, and closeout materials.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, superintendents, architects, engineers, and internal project teams.
- Help track project schedules, budgets, commitments, and key project deliverables.
- Support owner communication and help ensure project information is organized, accurate, and updated.
- Assist with reviewing drawings, specifications, and project documents.
- Help identify project issues early and communicate updates to the project manager.
- Participate in project meetings and support follow-up on action items.
